District Manager: As a multi-unit manager, you provide leadership and guidance to company-operated restaurant managers while monitoring store performance and ensuring standards are maintained. You are accountable for management development and staffing, restaurant financial results, and facilities maintenance while upholding Golden Corral's mission of "Making Pleasurable Dining Affordable" for our guests.
Franchise Service Consultant: In this multi-unit manager role, you provide support and consultation to Golden Corral franchisees to ensure restaurant operations conditions exist for optimal sales and profits as part of the Franchise Operations team. As the key Golden Corral liaison for our franchisees, you communicate and/or implement process, training and operational changes to ensure operating standards to uphold Golden Corral's brand.

TRAINING
At Golden Corral, we believe your learning should begin before you serve the first guest in your restaurant. We take the time to give every management candidate the opportunity to learn the Golden Corral system before you are assigned to a restaurant. This training is extensive and is a demonstration of our commitment to you and your success. Or management training process consists of four levels, each one targeting a different set of critical skills.
Level 1: The Basics
- Four weeks in a certified training restaurant
- Minimum time requirements for each skill position
- Key performance benchmarks in each area
- Assignments include:– Setting build-to's– Receiving deliveries– Food cost situations/solutions– Positional CSQs
- Modules consist of three sections– The Basics: CBT course, opening/running/closing duties, temperature logs, equipment– Manager’s Role: setting build-to's, determining product yield, managing production, tracking waste.– Evaluation: Performance evaluation, knowledge quiz, self-evaluation – Must pass Knowledge Test
Level 2: Management Academy
- Two week classroom course at the Golden Corral Company Support Center’s Training Department located in Raleigh, NC
- Courses include:– Managing Food and Labor– Back Office Systems– Buffet Management– Buffet Production System– In-restaurant Activities– Buffet Culinary– P&L– Equipment– Scheduling– Team Project
Level 3: Management Training
- Four weeks in certified training restaurant– Two weeks management training– Two weeks practice management
- Focus on opening/running/closing restaurant
- Final step before Certification– Knowledge Test– Certification Checklist
Level 4: Associate Manager Development
- 90 Day Home Restaurant Program– On-going development– Front-of-the-House or Back-of-the House focus– Self-directed activities include CBT Courses + Exam + Restaurant Activities
- Topics Include:– Building Guest Relations– Management Practices– Communication–Leadership– Improving Performance– Self-Management– HR Management– Local Store Marketing– Influencing Profit and Loss

After successfully completing the first four levels of training, you'll be well on your way to successfully managing a restaurant. Throughout your career with Golden Corral you'll be able to take advantage of classes and programs we offer.

Compensation – One simple concept drives our approach. WE HIRE WINNERS. So, we believe it makes perfect sense to have compensation linked directly to winning performance. Total compensation for Golden Corral managers includes a base salary and industry-leading incentive bonuses. And, because we have NO CAPS ON BONUS EARNINGS, the potential rewards for a Golden Corral manager who cares about people, understands how to increase sales, and knows how to control costs, are absolutely unlimited!
